Our story

A family workshop. Built to be handed down.

Dunorm started in 2020 as a family carpentry business in the countryside. The craft goes back further - Normunds learned his first skills and his respect for wood from his grandfather, who built horse carriages and sleds that were practical, beautiful and made to outlast their maker.

Today a team of seven cuts, sands and finishes every piece in our European workshop. Real Baltic birch, CNC precision where it matters, hands everywhere else.

Meet Normunds

One minute inside the workshop: the founder, the team, and how every piece gets made.

CNC precision. Hand finishing.
The craft

CNC precision. Hand finishing.

Every piece starts as a sheet of 15 mm Baltic birch plywood. The CNC cuts the joinery and the ornament to a fraction of a millimetre - then painters, carpenters and their assistants take over for the sanding, the edges and the finish.

That mix is the point. Machines make it precise. Hands make it worth keeping. Not a factory line, not particleboard in a brown box - furniture your kids can pass on.
